“Andriy is a highly professional therapist. He takes time to listen to concerns and examine the issues.”

Where does it hurt?

Most people come in with one of these. Each page explains why it happens, what massage can and cannot do about it, and when to see a doctor first.

“He worked very detailed on the issue spot to relieve the pain and explained the cause.”

Your first visit, step by step

If you have never had a therapeutic massage, this is what happens.

  1. Book online or message me

Pick a session and a time. The confirmation email arrives right away. Use the note to tell me what hurts, if you like.

  2. We talk, then I watch you move

Where it hurts, since when, what makes it better or worse. Then how you bend, turn and reach, because pain often starts somewhere other than where you feel it.

  3. Hands-on work, at a pressure we agree on

Say “lighter” at any point and I change it straight away. Working against pain you are bracing for does not help.

  4. What I noticed, and what to do next

Before you leave, I tell you in plain words what I noticed in your muscles and in how you move, and usually give you an exercise or two for home.

How long
60 or 90 minutes, including the conversation at the start.
What to wear
Whatever is comfortable. You undress to your level of comfort and stay covered with a sheet, except for the area I am working on.
Payment
At the visit. Nothing is charged when you book online.
Plans change
Change or cancel from the link in your confirmation email, or message me.

“As a woman who is mindful of modesty, I was first hesitant to book my first appointment with him, but I proceeded to book. … He was professional in my first session and onwards.”

Hi, I’m Andrew

Andrew Kovgan, massage therapist

I have practiced massage therapy for more than twelve years, and I came to it from physical-therapy training in Ukraine. That training is why a session with me starts with questions and with how you move, not with the table.

I work alone, so you see me every time. For pain that has built up over months, it usually takes a course of sessions, and I will tell you honestly how it is going.
